General and Family Dentistry

At Superior Smiles, we are passionate about providing the highest level of care to patients of all ages. You deserve a dentist with a variety of services to meet the wide range of needs for you and your family.

  • Regular exams and cleanings are essential for maximum dental health and early identification of any issues. During this service the dentist and hygienist will perform:

    • Digital x-rays

    • Oral cancer screening

    • Periodontal gum disease evaluation

    • Tooth decal examination

    • Examination of existing restorations (fillings, crowns, etc.)

    • Thorough tooth cleaning including removal of tartar, plaque, and polish to remove stains and plaque left behind from normal brushing

  • Digital X-rays provide a look at the interior of teeth and gums. This will aid in identifying problems such as cavities, tooth decay, abscesses, and more.

  • At home maintenance is crucial to avoiding costly tooth restorations. We recommend brushing twice a day, daily flossing, and an electric toothbrush. We are happy to answer any questions you have and make recommendations to make at home care as stress-free as your in-office visits

Cosmetic Dentistry

Whether you’re in need of fillings and crowns color matched to your teeth, teeth whitening, or clear aligners, we can help. The convenience of being able to obtain cosmetic procedures at the same office as your general dentist makes smiling with confidence easier than ever.

  • This in-office teeth whitening treatment will leave your teeth noticeable whiter and brighter in just one visit. Zoom! Teeth Whitening is the preferred whitening treatment among professionals because it works quickly, is more effective than at-home products, and utilizes the latest in whitening technology.

  • Clear aligners are orthodontic devices that are a transparent, plastic form of dental braces used to adjust teeth.

  • These thin and durable tooth shaped pieces of porcelain are custom made to fit the exact shape and color to best enhance your smile. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to completely reshape your teeth.

Restorative Dentistry

Damage to your teeth can be scary, but we’re here to put you at ease. Our attention to detail, along with new technology and procedures, make restoring your smile as stress-free and painless as possible.

  • Porcelain is the ideal material for crowns. It’s lightweight, long-lasting, more moldable and can be matched to the color of the other teeth.

  • While some dentists have to refer patients to an Endodontist, we can take care of your root canal right here in office.

  • A dental bridge is a fixed piece usually made up of porcelain and metal and is a great way to fill the space of missing teeth to prevent shifting and restore your smile.

  • Dental implants consist of a sterile, surgical grade titanium post inserted into the jaw. Implants are a permanent solution for a missing tooth or teeth.

  • A composite filling is used to repair a cracked, decayed, or fractured tooth. The best type of material and color of the filling will be determined by the patient and dentist before the procedure.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

This surgical specialty focuses on a variety of conditions and injuries that affect the head, neck, mouth, jaw, and face.

  • Extensive tooth decay or infection can sometimes require the tooth to be removed. The compassion of our staff will make this procedure as stress-free and quick as possible.

  • This procedure might be necessary to stop bone loss from progressing or repair the damaged bone and tissue in preparation for a dental implant.

  • This FDA-approved cosmetic injectable is similar to BOTOX® and often used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and smooth out the skin of your face. However, when injected into the jaw it can reduce or eliminate jaw pain.

Periodontal Disease

Periodontal disease, or periodontitis, is a serious gum infection that damages soft tissue and can destroy the bone that supports the tooth if left untreated. It begins with inflammation in the gums and plaque build-up on the teeth. If not properly removed from brushing, plaque can harden and turn into tartar, which can spread below the gum line where dental professionals are the only ones who can remove it. Tartar encourages more bacterial grown toward the root of the tooth, which can cause a gap to form between the gum and root. Harmful bacteria colonize in these pockets and cause damage to the gums, teeth, and supporting bone structures.

  • Periodontal disease is usually identified by measuring the depth of the groove between your gums and teeth with a dental probe. Pockets deeper than 4mm may indicate periodontal disease and require treatment.

  • Treatment includes cleaning the pockets around teeth to prevent damage to surrounding bone.

  • Bone loss, gum tissue loss, or gum recession can result from untreated periodontal disease. Various procedures may be performed depending on the needs of the patient.
